I asked my roommates (who hadn't seen the image previously) what they thought it was and they understood the pictographic. They read it in the correct order, so I decided to leave out any arrows. One of them said that the eyeliner step was hard to differentiate, so I increased the thickness of it. I also lowered the opacity of the blush and added some lines to frame the pictograph.
